On August 8, 2013, I’ll be turning the big “5” “0,” so big plans are in order! To celebrate this milestone, it’s time to survey my artistic career thus far and put it in print, so I’m publishing a survey catalogue of my sculpture and works on paper.
The catalogue, Rachel Selekman: Making Connections, which will be published by the end of 2013, will be filled with more than forty images of my sculpture and works on paper, showing how my work has evolved over the years. And it will include two essays that will provide insight into why I do what I do, including my inspiration, interest in everyday objects, personal iconography, working method, and relationship to other artists and art movements, both past and present.
Needless to say, it’ll be an invaluable tool for me to introduce loads of people to my work, as well as a fantastic way for you to experience the breadth of my twenty-five-year-plus career!
The catalogue is sponsored by Fractured Atlas, which means you can support its production by making a tax-deductible donation by going to this link. If you donate $50 or more, you’ll be sent a complimentary copy of the catalogue.
Your support is greatly appreciated!
